Meet

Dr. Van-Khoa (Kevin) Quan

Dr. Kevin is a local native of Orange County and grew up in Huntington Beach. As a child, he was known for his curiosity and a knack for figuring things out. He loved tinkering with anything he could get his hands on, especially when it came to fixing his broken toys. This hands-on approach was encouraged by his parents, who gifted him his first RC toy car, sparking his interest in assembling and repairing complex gadgets. His fascination with how things work extended to his visits to the dentist as a child, where he was intrigued by the dental tools and procedures.

This early interest laid the foundation for Dr. Kevin’s future career. Today, Dr. Kevin is a compassionate, patient, and cheerful professional, dedicated to creating a fun filled dental experience for children. His approach is not just about treating dental issues but also about educating children and their parents on the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene. He finds immense reward and privilege in shaping the young minds of his patients, guiding them as they develop their beliefs and ideas.

Dr. Kevin’s impressive educational background includes an undergraduate degree from UCLA, followed by dental training at the UCLA School of Dentistry. He completed his General Practice Residency at the Sepulveda VA Medical Center and his Pediatric Dentistry Residency at the UNLV School of Dental Medicine. He is a Board-Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and is affiliated with prestigious organizations like AAPD, CSPD, OCDS, CDA, and ADA. He was honored with the UCLA School of Dentistry Community Health Service Award for his contributions. Outside the office, Dr. Kevin enjoys camping, hiking, traveling, cooking, and spending quality time with his family!

The appointment typically includes a comprehensive exam, where Dr. Kevin will gently assess your child's oral health, followed by necessary X-rays that are done with utmost care for your child's comfort. A thorough cleaning is also part of the visit, ensuring that your child leaves with a sparkling smile. Additionally, Dr. Kevin and the team take the time to discuss oral habits and hygiene practices, providing personalized tips and education to help maintain your child’s dental health.
